Josephine Siao Fong-fong 蕭芳芳
Η Josephine Siao Fong-fong γεννήθηκε στη Σαγκάη στις 13 Μαρτίου 1947, το πραγματικό της όνομα είναι Siao Liang. Σε ηλικία των δύο, μεταφέρθηκε στο Χονγκ Κονγκ από τους γονείς της.
Είναι ένα από τα πιο αγαπημένα και σεβαστά μέλη της κινηματογραφικής κοινότητας του Χονγκ Κονγκ, για τη μακρόχρονη σταδιοδρομία της, τη σταθερή οικογενειακή της ζωή και την αφοσίωσή της σε φιλανθρωπικές οργανώσεις, η Siao κατάφερε με επιτυχία διαδοχικές μεταβάσεις από το παιδικό αστέρι (έκανε το ντεμπούτο της στην ηλικία των 7 ετών) σε κυρίαρχη κυρία, και στη συνέχεια σε διακεκριμένη ηθοποιό. Το 1968 ξεκίνησε σπουδές στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Seton Hall στο Νιου Τζέρσεϋ, αποφοίτησε με πτυχίο Επικοινωνίας το 1973. Μετά την επιστροφή του στο Χονγκ Κονγκ, συμμετείχε στην παραγωγή της τηλεοπτικών εκπομπών αλλά και με διάφορους ρόλους στον κινηματογράφο, αν και οι επιπλοκές από την ακοή της, περιόρισαν τον αριθμό των ταινιών που ήταν σε θέση να κάνει. Στις αρχές της δεκαετίας του '80, η Siao παντρεύτηκε έναν διευθυντή των μέσων ενημέρωσης του Χονγκ Κονγκ, με τον οποίο έχει δύο κόρες.
Η Siao έχει αποσυρθεί από το show business από το 1997 υπέρ της εργασίας της στην παιδική ψυχολογία. Συγκεκριμένα, είναι γνωστός αγωνιστής κατά της παιδικής κακοποίησης και ίδρυσε το Ίδρυμα Τελικού Παιδιού κατάχρησης παιδιών, το οποίο προεδρεύει σήμερα, το 1999. Είναι επίσης συγγραφέας.
Χωρίς αμφιβολία είναι μία από τις μεγαλύτερες ηθοποιούς του Χονγ Κονγκ, η καριέρα της διήρκεσε περίπου πέντε δεκαετίες και ήταν πάντα ένα αστέρι, από την αρχή ως παιδί ηθοποιός μέσα από τα εφηβικά χρόνια, την ενηλικίωση και μέχρι τη συνταξιοδότησή της. Εμφανίστηκε σε περισσότερες από 300 ταινίες κάθε είδους, ρομαντικές, δραματικές, κωμωδίες, δράσης και φαντασίας. Κέρδισε 12 Βραβεία "Καλύτερης Ηθοποιίας", κυρίως βραβείο Silver Bear το 1995 στο Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογράφου του Βερολίνου. Το 1997 τιμήθηκε ως Μέλος του Άριστου Τάγματος της Βρετανικής Αυτοκρατορίας από τη βρετανική κυβέρνηση, αναγνωρίζοντας τις συνεισφορές της στην κοινότητα και την κινηματογραφική βιομηχανία.
