Η Sylvia Chang είναι μία επιτυχημένη, ηθοποιός, σκηνοθέτης, σεναριογράφος και τραγουδίστρια.

Γεννήθηκε στο Chiayi της Ταϊβάν στις 22 Ιουλίου 1953,  πήγε στο σχολείο μέχρι τα 16 της, όπου εγκατέλειψε το σχολείο και ξεκίνησε την καριέρα της ως DJ στο ραδιόφωνο. Σύντομα έκανε την κίνηση στην τηλεόραση όταν ήταν μόλις 17. Όταν ήταν 18 ετών πρωταγωνίστησε στην πρώτη της ταινία. 




Η Sylvia Chang είναι μια από τις μεγαλύτερες και πιθανώς πιο διαφοροποιημένες γυναίκες καλλιτέχνιδες του Χονγκ Κονγκ.  Καθ 'όλη τη διάρκεια της καριέρας της στη βιομηχανία του κινηματογράφου, η οποία περιλαμβάνει το σενάριο, τη σκηνοθεσία και την παραγωγή, είναι επίσης τραγουδίστρια, ηθοποιός θεάτρου και συνήγορος της World Vision International καθώς και μητέρα και σύζυγος.
